Napi made it through her first day of work, though she got her first true taste of DC rush hour traffic. In her words, it was ugly. Despite the almost hour long commute to work this morning, the 8.5 hour day (and associated first day jitters), and an absolutely horrid commute home – she and the baby came through unscathed. In fact, she didn’t get sick today, though a nap would have been the lick! The new job offers good benefits, and we’ll need to sit down and figure out the best policy for us as a family, and particularly for infant care.
One important development of note was our search for a wedding dress. With the proposed January wedding roughly 1-month away, we’re facing crunch time on getting our outfits together. We hit Tyson’s Corner this evening and struck gold in the second store, Jessica McClintock. Pending “mommas” approval – the dress will be purchased tomorrow. Of course I don’t have a clue what I’ll be wearing. Maybe the baby will help me out! I also broke the news at work today and it spread like wildfire. Compliments all around and those who have met Napi had nothing but lovely things to say. Today, my friends, was a good day…
