Here We Go

My first of many 16+ hour days kicked off this am at 0600 and just ended at 2340. The first of many incoming mortar shells also kicked off this evening, with the take cover warning going out over the radio this evening. Fun stuff. Definitely missing the family, but at least my living conditions aren't half bad. I'm already back to being used to the sound of helicopters passing low overhead and shaking my living quarters, and my diet is off an running, with nothing but healthy meals so far. OK, I did eat two oatmeal cookies, but those are healthy aren't they?

Time to finish unpacking (spent all of 5 minutes in my quarters last night before moving to another location for the evening and all of today) and get my webcam set up to call Napi and Ami'. The BLOG rolls on though!
