We're in the doctor's office waiting for her to come do her thing with Ami' when Napi notices that his ears are filthy. Now before you start wondering what kind of parents we are, let me just point out that we clean the boys ears frequently! Certainly every time he gets a bath his ears get cleaned. So Napi goes to work trying to get the stuff out and gets one ear done before the doc arrives. No time to do ear number 2. So the doc takes him and takes a look at his rash. Her words were, "What the heck is that?" Not promising! The rash has gone haywire, by the way. His back looks crazy right now, and definitely worse than say a day or two ago. The rash has also started to appear on his face. This thing is spreading fast. Anyway, she looks him over and then breaks out what I call the ear device. She immediately points out that his ears are filled with wax. Great job parents... She didn't say it, but I know she was thinking it! Anyways, she gets in there and cleans the stuff out and after looking around for a bit informs us that he's got an ear infection.
So what's next? The doctor prescribed an antibiotic and Napi has already picked it up. Hopefully that will lick this rash business and clear up this nasty cold he's been battling. Incidentally she told us his lungs appear to be working just fine and the cold seems to be confined to his upper chest area. Whatever that means. I'm really hopeful this antibiotic will help him lick this thing. Mark it down rude boy - you popped your first antibiotic on November 28th!
