We've missed out on that grand tradition that nets newly weds and new parents free stuff. The shower! We haven't had a wedding shower (or is it a bridal shower?), nor have we had a baby shower. But plans are in the works. Friends from my job are planning a joint wedding/baby shower for Napi here in the DC Metro area, while her sister is also putting together the pieces for a baby shower back in St. Louis. Heck, I may secretly try and do an online shower for her myself!
Of course, we have no idea what to register for... We don't yet own a house, though we'll be making that move before the end of the year. We have an idea of some of the things the baby will need, but we probably need to sit down and really take a look at all the things that Peanut will require. Baby seat, stroller, bathing tub, the works. So much to do...so little time to do it. But we'll get it together. What do you guys think? In addition to my daycare questions from yesterday, are there must have things we need to pick up for Peanut? Any particular brands based on your experiences? I suspect we'll be buying most of this stuff ourselves, and that's ok with me. What I think would bring Napi the most joy would be the presence of her friends, and the opportunity to meet new people in the area.
